As General Counsel and shareholder with Stearns Weaver Miller, Barbara Ferrer works with the firm’s real estate department and banking and finance group. Her tasks include negotiating contracts, leases, debt, equity and all facets surrounding national commercial real estate.
Her representative experience has included working with a multifamily developer in all aspects of its real estate business across several states and counseling a lender regarding a multimillion-dollar syndicated loan to acquire and develop a mixed-use project on land leased from the City of Miami.
Ferrer is involved with the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the Latin Builders Association, the Cuban American Bar Association, the Florida Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and CREW. She also participated in the Fellows Program with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.
Ferrer has been listed in Chambers USA, Real Estate and The Best Lawyers in America. The South Florida Legal Guide named her a Top Lawner and Up and Comer. Florida Trend named her a Legal Elite; The Daily Business Review honored her as a Dealmaker of the Year, and Connect CRE presented her with the Lawyers in Real Estate Award.
