Heather Fernstrom Border is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Alliance Global Advisors, a woman-owned consulting firm to the investment manager. She oversees the firm’s strategic direction.

Border has 20 years of professional experience in the private and public real estate sectors, where she developed, implemented and led investor relations platforms for companies including National Real Estate Advisors, Hunt Investment Management and The Townsend Group.

Border actively mentors within Alliance Global Advisors, focusing on developing female leaders in the institutional real estate sector. She collaborates with numerous organizations to empower women and underrepresented groups to break barriers within the industry. She also spearheads the Alliance Gives Back program, a cornerstone initiative to give back to the industry through education, professional development, and mentorship.

Her role extends to thought leadership and industry engagement, where she participates as a speaker and moderator at prominent industry conferences and panels, including PREA, IREI, PERE and Markets Group. Her community endeavors include being on the board of Wellfit Girls and being involved in various committees with the American Heart Association.
