Matthew Carpinello
Represented fund in originating a $75-million construction loan on a stalled beach resort project
Represented private equity fund in closing $275 million for movie studio campus expansion
As a partner in Adler & Stachenfeld’s Real Estate Finance Practice Group, Matthew Carpinello leads a team of attorneys closing complex real estate transactions, including construction loans, mezzanine loans, and preferred equity investments across all asset classes. Notably, Carpinello works cross-functionally with other partners across the firm’s practice groups — including the joint venture group, construction group, leasing group and distressed real estate group — by providing insight into their transactions. He also plays a vital role in recruiting, hiring and training junior real estate attorneys.
Notable deals include representing a real estate fund on the origination of a $75-million construction loan to complete a stalled luxury beach resort project in the Dutch Caribbean and working with a private equity fund to originate a $275-million construction loan to expand a significant movie studio campus in Georgia.
Carpinello participates in several workplace initiatives, including presentations through Adler & Stachenfeld University and the firm’s Hedgehog Committee, which takes charge of company events that foster a fun and inclusive atmosphere.
These are just a few reasons we selected Matthew Carpinello as one of Connect CRE’s New York & Tri-State 2024 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s seventh annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will strongly influence the commercial real estate industry.
