Kari Larson is a partner in K&L Gates’ Real Estate practice. She focuses on commercial real estate, including the acquisition, disposition, leasing, financing, and development of commercial, timber, food and agribusiness holdings, including controlled-environment agriculture (CEA) facilities.
Larson represents borrowers and lenders (foreign and domestic) in lending transactions secured by commercial and agricultural properties, including negotiating intercreditor and co-lender arrangements. She also regularly advises clients on investments in various food and agribusiness assets. Larson is certified in Legal Project Management.
She represented an institutional investment manager by negotiating financing documents and the related intercreditor agreement concerning crop improvements on real property in Grant County, Washington. She also represented Healthcare Trust of America in its $2.3-billion acquisition of 72 medical office properties across 15 states from Duke Realty.
Larson serves as chair, American Bar Association Real Property Trust and Estates Section Mortgage Lending Sub-Group, co-chair, American Agricultural Law Association Membership and Marketing Committee, vice-chair – Real Property, American Bar Association Real Property Trust and Estates Membership Committee and co-chair, CREW Seattle & Sound Membership Committee.
The Best Lawyers of America recognized Larson for Real Estate Law in Seattle and a One to Watch for Real Estate Law. She received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Property and was a fellow with the American Bar Association Real Property Trust and Estates Section.
