As a partner with Alston, Courtnage & Bassetti, Charles Shigley counsels clients in commercial real estate transactions and general business law. His practice emphasizes development and finance, primarily representing developers and development interests. He also represents developers, owners, users, purchasers, investors and lenders in all aspects of real estate transactions, including development, leasing, sales and acquisitions, entity formation, joint ventures and financing.
Shigley received his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Idaho, where he was editor-in-chief of the Idaho Law Review. He was an Extern with the Hon. Eugene A. Wright, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and was a Law Clerk to the Hon. Elaine M. Houghton, Washington State Court of Appeals, Division II.
Shigley is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and served on the Executive Committee of the WSBA Real Property Probate and Trust Section. He has been recognized annually as a Washington “Super Lawyer” and listed as a leading real estate attorney in Washington in the Chambers USA legal directory.
Shigley is an active volunteer in the youth Ultimate Frisbee, serving as Treasurer and Business Manager of Seven Hills Ultimate Frisbee Club. He also served on the Board of Trustees and as Secretary of The Center For Wooden Boats.
