Mary Marshall, an Assistant General Counsel for The RMR Group, specializes in CRE law, focusing on development and transactions. Her broad expertise includes navigating entitlement processes, negotiating professional service agreements and handling eminent domain matters, easements and other land use negotiations.

Over the past year, Marshall has been instrumental in several high-profile redevelopment projects. She has leveraged prior expertise in complex permitting and entitlement matters on several prospective and planned projects totaling more than 1.4 million square feet of residential, office, retail, hotel, industrial and mixed-use space in multiple markets.

She is active in NAIOP’s Government Affairs group, serves among the Trustees of Charitable Donations for the City of Boston and volunteers and participates in fundraising efforts for the American Red Cross, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Project Bread.

Marshall has been a panel member or contributing author for legal and development industry conferences. She has been recognized by the Best Lawyers in America as a “Leading U.S. Real Estate Attorney.” She has also been recognized by Chambers USA and named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer.

This is why Mary Marshall received Connect CRE’s 2024 Boston & New England Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
