Kevin J. Lyons is Riemer & Braunstein’s managing partner, a member of the firm’s executive committee, and co-chair of the firm’s Real Estate Finance Practice. His practice concentrates on real estate finance, particularly institutional and structured transactions and project and construction finance matters. He is experienced in REIT and fund credit facilities, including secured and unsecured borrowing base transactions and subscription-secured lines. Kevin also has extensive experience closing multi-property healthcare real estate financings. Lyons represents lenders in restructuring, resolving and liquidating problem loan situations.

Notable matters include representing a public REIT in obtaining a $1.4-billion unsecured revolving line of credit and a $200-million term loan. He also worked for a real estate investment fund, obtaining $560 million in secured financing.

Lyons has spoken on numerous educational and professional panels, including several Boston Bar Association panels on the real estate finance market and various legal education seminars on real estate finance.

Lyons has been named a United Way of Massachusetts Bay philanthropic leader of the legal community.

This is why Kevin J. Lyons received Connect CRE’s 2024 Boston & New England Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
