As a partner and real estate practice leader with ArentFox Schiff, Thomas Castiello focuses on commercial real estate matters, joint ventures, transactional work and finance. He represents clients in all aspects of their real estate activities, using his experience in joint ventures, financings, and dispositions involving a broad range of commercial real estate assets. He also works with District of Columbia public charter schools in acquiring, financing and developing campus facilities.
Notable highlights include representing Goldman Sachs concerning the disposition of several office towers in Charlotte, NC. Castiello represented DSC Partners LLC with acquiring and financing a 28-building portfolio in Montgomery County, MD, and a 15-office building portfolio in Chesapeake and Norfolk, VA.
He also represented Washington Sports & Entertainment LP in selling all its interests in the Washington Capitals, the Washington Mystics, the Washington Wizards, Verizon Center, and the Washington-Baltimore Ticketmaster franchise to Monumental Sports & Entertainment.
Castiello is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and Maryland Bar. He’s been recognized by Chambers U.S.A. and the Legal 500 U.S., as well as one of Washingtonian Magazine’s “Top Lawyers.”
