Represented a seller in a $500-million multifamily sale
Jared Greenstein is a shareholder with Greenstein DeLorme & Luchs. He advises owners, developers, property managers, tenants and borrowers on commercial real estate transactions. His practice focuses on developing, leasing, acquiring, disposing and managing commercial office, retail and mixed-use properties, and multifamily residential.
Greenstein has significant experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, ground leases, listing agreements, confidentiality agreements, and SNDAs.
Highlights include negotiating a 206,000-square-foot office lease with Nestle for its U.S. headquarters, representing the seller in a $500-million multifamily sale in Alexandria, VA and representing the ground lessee/purchaser in a modification and expansion of a ground lease to support a 500,000-square-foot mixed-use development in Rosslyn, VA. This deal required structuring and negotiation of put options, purchase options, tenants’ development rights and obligations, transfers of easement rights, and lender issues related to the tenants’ concurrent closing on a $250-million construction loan.
Greenstein is a member of the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (member, Leaders in Development), the Apartment and Office Building Association, the Urban Land Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts. He is also a member of the Maryland State Bar Association (Sections on Business Law and Real Property, Land Use and Zoning), the District of Columbia Bar Association (Sections on Real Estate, Housing and Land Use) and the American Bar Association.
Greenstein obtained his JD from the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law.
