Serena Carlsen is a partner with Perkins Coie. She guided significant commercial real estate transactions in Seattle, the Puget Sound region, the Pacific Northwest and Alaska for over three decades. Her experience includes advising clients on land acquisitions, facility purchases, ground leases, office and retail leases, financing and facilities construction.

An active member of Seattle’s commercial real estate community, Carlsen represents various clients, including universities, hospitals, office building owners, container terminal operators, construction material companies and food and beverage companies. Her representative clients include the University of Washington, Starbucks, Seattle Mariners, Costco, Samis Foundation, SSA Marine, and Cemex.

Carlsen was the past chair and legislative director of the Washington State Bar Association’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Section. She is the editor of the Washington Deskbook, Real Property, Probate and Trust Section, Washington State Bar Association.

Carlsen is AV Peer Review Rated – Preeminent in Ethical Standards and Legal Ability” by Martindale-Hubbell, has been ranked by Chambers U.S.A. and listed in the Beste Lawyers of America and Washington Super Lawyers. She is a CREW and the Washington State Bar Association member and serves as a board member with the Seattle Downtown Association.

Carlsen earned her law degree at the Seattle University School of Law.
