Rhys Hefta is a partner in K&L Gates’ Seattle office. He advises clients on purchasing, selling and financing real estate assets, including office, hospitality, retail, multifamily and senior housing properties. His finance experience includes commercial mortgage-backed securities, senior and subordinate notes, second mortgage, mezzanine debt, and preferred equity.
Notable highlights included representing a senior housing owner and operator in obtaining $120 million in permanent financing on a portfolio of three senior housing facilities in California. Hefta also advised a business technology and consulting firm on a 110,000-square-foot headquarters lease in Seattle and represented a national life insurance company (as the lender) in $60 million in construction financing for a Miami, FL warehouse/logistics facility.
Hefta is an American College of Real Estate Lawyers fellow and has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers U.S.A. and Washington Super Lawyers. He edited the Washington State Bar Association Real Property Probate and Trust Quarterly Newsletter and is a Real Property Council member of the WSBA Real Property, Probate and Trust Section Executive Committee.
Hefta obtained his J.D. from Columbia Law School.
