Mandy Shavinsky is a partner with Snell & Wilmer. She handles complex real estate matters, emphasizing commercial finance, loan workouts, real estate transactions and real estate development. In her career, she advises national, regional and local homebuilders and developers about mixed-use projects, high-rise resorts, and condominium and hotel developments.
Notable highlights include advising a national bank on foreclosure issues and legal issues associated with the transition of sales and operation of a $180-million high-rise condominium project and representing a buyer in its $500-million acquisition of an undeveloped casino site and subsequent plans for a high-end, mixed-use development. On the legislative side, Shavinsky was instrumental in drafting Assembly Bill 431, now Chapter 116B of the Nevada Revised Statutes, which addresses the creation, structure and operation of condominium hotels, the first legislation of its kind in the United States.
She is a member of the State Bar of Nevada (where she serves on the Real Estate Section’s Executive Committee and Subcommittee of Legislative Issues). She is also a member of the Clark County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Shavinsky is on the board of trustees for C.A.S.A.
Shavinsky has been named a fellow with the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and has been recognized by Chambers U.S.A., Mountain States Super Lawyer and the Best Lawyers in America. Real Estate Law named her the “Las Vegas Lawyer of the Year,” and the Nevada Business Journal listed her among the “Legal Elite – Top Southern Nevada Attorneys.”
Shavinsky obtained her law degree from The Ohio State University College of Law.
These are some of the reasons why we are honoring Mandy Shavinsky with Connect CRE’s 2023 Phoenix & Southwest Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
