R. James Robbins Jr. is one of the founding attorneys of Hill Ward Henderson and serves as president and managing shareholder of the firm.  His practice involves business and real estate transactions, including land acquisition and development, mergers and acquisitions, leasing and financing. He also regularly acts as outside general counsel to a variety of clients. He represented automobile dealerships, with a particular emphasis on dealership acquisitions, dispositions, and related real property transactions.

Notable transactions include acting as lead attorney selling nearly 30,000 acres of real estate in Central Florida. He also completed a sales transaction, including more than 7,000 acres of citrus and related agricultural properties.

In addition to being a member of the Florida Council of 100, Robbins has served on or is a member of the Boards of Directors of The Florida Aquarium, The Tampa Bay History Center, Jesuit High School, The Academy of the Holy Names and Positive Coaching Alliance of Tampa Bay.

Robbins earned the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review’s AV Preeminent Rating and has been recognized by Chambers U.S.A. and Florida Super Lawyers. He’s been named Florida Trend’s Legal Elite and the Tampa Corporate Law Lawyer of the Year.

Robbins received his J.D. from the University of Virginia.
