Mike Bedke is the real estate location head for DLA Piper’s Miami office. His clients include institutional lenders, international investors and national developers, representing them in acquisitions, dispositions and leasing sports and entertainment venues, data centers, medical office buildings (MOB), healthcare facilities, and cell tower leasing.
Bedke has been at the forefront of green leasing and developing and financing alternate energy projects across the United States. He represents clients in all aspects of real estate, including acquisition, disposition, leasing and development and commercial financing work (including Sharia’h lending).
Notable transactions include representing the developer of the proposed Riverfront Jacksonville (a public-private waterfront development partnership) and representing Affinius Capital in its first build-to-suit lease with a hyperscaler customer.
Bedke offers free legal assistance to disaster victims, defends the rights of victims of domestic violence, and provides invaluable support in developing the No Place Like Home program and his commitment to improving the lives of veterans. He founded the Project to Assist Persons with AIDS and the Hillsborough County Courthouse Walk-in Project.
Bedke received The Florida Bar Foundation’s Medal of Honor and the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award. He is also an American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) member. He serves on the Executive Council of The Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section. He is recognized by Chambers U.S.A.
Bedke earned his J.D. from the University of Florida.
