Austin McLeod

Austin McLeod serves as Vice President of the Matthews Self-Storage division. Since launching the division, McLeod has become one of the most well-known self-storage brokers in the country, as he leads a team of 10 agents. He’s sold more than 2.5 million rentable square feet of storage in 12 different states. McLeod has risen to be among the company’s top three producing agents, closing over 40 deals totaling $200+ million in volume in 2022 alone.

McLeod took part in several notable transactions within the past year, but one that stood out was the $11-million sale of a Hollywood self storage facility spanning 490 rentable units. The deal closed $500,000 above its list price, which can be attributed to the extensive marketing campaign as well as McLeod’s self storage network.

In giving back, McLeod volunteered to be a Matthews Social Impact Leader for the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program. McLeod also takes part in company-wide initiatives such as annual food and book drives and a Letters to Soldiers event for Support Our Troops that involves the entire organization. McLeod also mentors agents entering the industry that are interested in a self storage specialty.
