Ross Heft
Structures contracts for projects across multiple assets
Mentors the firm's more junior associates
In his role as Partner with Akerman LLP, Ross Heft represents clients in all facets of commercial real estate transactions, with a strong concentration in advising developers, owners, lenders, and operators of hotels, resorts, condominiums, and mixed-use real estate developments.
He structures and negotiates complex contracts for the project design and construction across multiple asset classes. These included mixed-use high rise buildings, hotels, resorts, condominiums, multifamily apartments, golf courses and clubs, custom designed homes, arenas, retail, houses of worship, educational facilities, office buildings and warehouses.
During his career, Heft has continuously demonstrated distinctive and effective leadership qualities that are typically only exhibited by more seasoned attorneys, resulting in quickly gaining the trust and confidence of his peers and clients. He has taken on the roles of construction counsel, developer counsel and transactional counsel.
Within Akerman, Heft has exhibited a commitment and desire to teach and work with younger lawyers, acting as a mentor to some of the firm’s more junior associates. He has also assisted Akerman with its own drafting and negotiation of construction agreements for the firm’s office buildouts throughout the country.
These are just a few reasons we chose Ross Heft as one of Connect CRE Florida & Gulf Coast’s 2023 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s seventh annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
