Named a “Champion of Change” by the White House for solar deployment

Jessica Bailey is one of the leaders of Nuveen Green Capital, a Nuveen affiliate that is a national leader in sustainable commercial real estate financing. Based in Darien, CT, Nuveen Green Capital was established by the Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) founding developers and offers a suite of accretive commercial real estate financing products for borrowers who invest in energy and water efficiency.

Bailey led the design and management of the C-PACE program in Connecticut and nationally as a founder; she is currently focused on expansion of C-PACE as an asset class. Her firm provides 100% upfront financing for clean energy upgrades to commercial real estate using C-PACE financing. She facilitated C-PACE’s first deals in several states, completing Nuveen Capital’s first 144a securitization. Bailey also sponsored $173.2 million in asset-backed securities, backed by payments to commercial property assessed clean energy assets.

She has been named among Commercial Observer’s Top 50 Most Influential People in Real Estate. The White House named her a “Champion of Change” for solar deployment, and The Hartford Business Journal dubbed her a “Green Warrior” for designing the Connecticut C-PACE program.

These are some of the reasons we selected Bailey for inclusion in the Connect CRE Top Mortgage Brokers and Lenders Awards. These awards recognize industry professionals who have demonstrated the highest standards in commercial real estate finance.
