Toby Cobb, Justin Kennedy and Jonathan Roth are co-founders and managing partners of 3650 REIT. The nationwide commercial real estate alternative lender originates and services portfolio loans and makes other strategic investments. The firm is a rated special servicer and manages $5.8 billion in loans and investments across its Bridge and Event-Driven (BED) and Stable Cash Flow (SCF) lending platforms.
The company ended 2021 with more than $1.45 billion in originations deployed across asset classes including retail, office, industrial and multifamily. 3650 REIT also hired eight professionals and opened a new office in Atlanta, GA. The company maintained a track record of zero defaults across its entire originated portfolio.
Deal highlights in 2021 included a $1.225-billion loan on the Cambridge Crossing life sciences office complex in Cambridge, MA; a $95-million refinance loan on a double grocery-anchored retail center in La Habra, CA; a $68 million acquisition loan for Phoenix’s PetSmart headquarters; $60.5 million in construction financing for The Vic on Park Row in Houston, TX; and a $23.8-million investment in controlling junior interests in the $250 million first mortgage backed by Brookfield’s The Mall in Columbia, a luxury shopping mall in Columbia, MD.
