As a Partner of Anchor Health Properties, Jonathan Nelson is responsible for the firm’s more than 8 million square feet of owned and managed healthcare real estate. He also spearheads the development of programs and strategies to augment the efficiency of Anchor’s operations, investment and development efforts across the country, as the firm continues to build its national, full-service healthcare real estate platform. Additionally, Nelson has project executive responsibilities for multiple development clients with whom the firm has had longstanding relationships.

In his time with Anchor, Nelson led the delivery of nearly a dozen healthcare properties including multiple ambulatory centers, pathology labs and traditional outpatient medical office buildings. He also managed the transition to. and on-boarding of. all owned and managed assets, capital partners and lenders from an operations perspective.

Nelson joined Anchor Health in 2013 from Koch Companies Public Sector. Wise beyond his years, Jonathan possesses the uncanny ability to process and connect copious amounts of real estate knowledge and insights nationwide. Regularly wearing many hats, Nelson is always ready to step in wherever needed to ensure that a development project, real estate transaction or request for proposal goes smoothly. Nelson was integral in guiding Anchor through the pandemic, allowing the firm to significantly surpass internal targets. Thanks to his creativity, flexibility, empathy and persistence Anchor ensured that tenants could continue their practice and was able to collect rent.

Nelson, who received a bachelor of science degree from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, serves on Anchor Properties’ internal Investment Committee.
