Marcela Sapone is the CEO and co-founder of Alfred. She was named as a Top 40 under 40 by Crain’s, Top 30 under 30 by Forbes and among Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business, and received a full tuition Harvard Trustee Scholarship while pursuing her MBA and growing the Alfred business model from her Boston apartment.

Alfred launched in 2015, and now partners with several multifamily industry partners and operates in 44 cities across two countries, supporting more than 130,000 residents. The Alfred platform is a digital application that not only streamlines property management activities, but ultimately grants users access to automated and human-powered services. Technical services include remote property management such as maintenance requests, communications, vendor management, plus easy rent payments, smart building technology, package tracking, and several other forms of digital assistance. Human-powered services include a myriad of domestic and everyday tasks such as regular home cleanings, grocery shopping, refrigerator stocking, pet walking, dry cleaning, and several others.

As part of its ongoing building partnerships with firms such as Related, Greystar, Jamestown, Brookfield Properties, RXR, and Hines, Alfred also complements resident life by promoting, coordinating, and hosting local activities designed to bring communities together. Examples include virtual and in person fitness and wellness classes, cooking classes, mini golf with live music, self-care facials by the pool, and more. Alfred actively engages residents and promotes togetherness by creating countless opportunities for people to enjoy each other’s company without the hassle of organizing events themselves.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Sapone as one of the National 2021 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
