DLA Piper’s Henry Advises Developers and Contractors on Construction Agreements and Other Strategies
An associate in DLA Piper’s Washington, DC office, Chris Henry handles construction law, advising owners, developers, and contractors on complex transactional and dispute-related matters connected with commercial, infrastructure, energy, and data center projects. He drafts and negotiates construction and design agreements, advises on procurement strategy and risk allocation, and supports claims counseling and dispute avoidance for high-value developments.
Notable matters include supporting EPC and construction financing for a $1 billion data center development in Texas, advising on the $700 million acquisition and multi-phase development of a data center project in Elk Grove Village, IL, and leading the preparation and negotiation of an architect agreement for a Virginia retail development.
Henry is a first-year real estate associate with a strong pro bono practice focused on real estate matters. He is a trusted resource for colleagues seeking practical guidance on construction contracting and project risk issues.
His community activities include membership with the DC Preservation League and the Royal Oak Foundation. The Legal 500 United States has recommended him for his construction work.
These are just a few reasons we chose Chris Henry as one of Connect CRE’s Washington DC & Mid-Atlantic Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
