Oversees current and prospective client coverage in the Northeast

Helped secure a client’s Treasury Management business

Max Gentile is a client management lead in the New York office of U.S. CRE at CIBC Bank USA. In this role, he handles current and prospective client coverage in the Northeast region and currently helps manage a $2.5-billion book of business in the New England region. Gentile identifies product and service opportunities for various business lines and develops custom commercial real estate solutions for clients. He also aids quality control protocols and provides senior management with portfolio-level information.

One notable deal involved a request for assistance in structuring a client’s commercial real estate debt needs. While CIBC wasn’t given the debt mandate, it did receive the respective Treasury Management business due to Gentile’s perspective and focus.

Before CIBC’s changes to the group’s client delivery model and a change in his role, Gentile suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon. Despite the challenge, he continued to meet his work obligations and goals.

Gentile received CIBC’s MomentMakers award. He coaches CIBC’s bank-wide softball team and serves on the NY Leadership Council of Special Olympics. These are just a few reasons we selected Max Gentile as one of Connect CRE’s New York & Tri-State 2024 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s seventh annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will strongly influence the commercial real estate industry.
