Austin McLeod serves as vice president of the Matthews Self-Storage division. Since beginning at Matthews, McLeod has become one of the most well-known self-storage brokers in the country, handling over 2.5 million square feet in 12 states. He works with private investors, developers, private equity funds, and the largest institutional investment firms. He is one of the company’s top-three producing agents.
Notable transactions in the past year included the $11-million sale of a 490-unit Hollywood Self Storage facility.
McLeod volunteered as Matthews Social Impact Leader for the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program, assisting in organizing a local animal shelter fundraiser and planting trees with coworkers. McLeod also participates in company-wide initiatives such as annual food and book drives and a Letters to Soldiers event for Support Our Troops. Additionally, he mentors agents interested in specializing in self-storage.
He received Matthews’ Circle of Excellence, Social Impact Leader and Chairman’s awards and is a Matthews’ Legends Club member.
