Marina Malomud
Helped drive company's growth from 15 to 45 employees
Spearheaded Subtext's partnership with the D.C. Family and Youth Initiative
As Subtext’s Chief Operating Officer, Marina Malomud is responsible for the strategy and implementation of industry-leading standards, processes and controls across the company’s multifamily and student housing platforms. She is involved in all operational aspects of the company’s development, design, construction management and capital-raising.
Joining Subtext in 2019 to launch the company’s multifamily vertical, she rapidly ascended to the role of partner and COO. In her current capacity, she orchestrates the corporate strategy, leading the full spectrum of development activities from acquisitions to stabilization.
One thing that really sets her apart is that her data-driven approach has been instrumental in redefining Subtext’s multifamily strategy. Her deep understanding of psychology and sociology has enabled her to create residential communities that resonate with residents on a profound level.
Malomud’s tireless commitment to excellence has been the driving force behind Subtext’s growth from 15 to 45 employees. Her inclusive and inspiring leadership style fosters a culture that attracts and retains top industry talent, making her a catalyst for Subtext’s success.
Malomud believes in giving back to communities in need, as evidenced by Subtext’s partnership with the D.C. Family and Youth Initiative. Her commitment to fostering lifelong connections for teens in foster care demonstrates her dedication to creating a positive impact beyond the bottom line.
These are a few reasons we chose Marina Malomud as one of the Washington DC Connect CRE’s 2023 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and play key mentorship roles for others.
