CBRE’s Groen Drives $11 Billion in Phoenix Multifamily Investment Sales

Austin Groen is a Senior Vice President with CBRE’s Institutional Properties Multifamily Capital Markets practice. He advises institutional and private investors on the acquisition and disposition of multifamily assets across the Phoenix metro. Since joining CBRE in 2020, he has been involved in more than 130 transactions totaling over $11 billion.

His notable transactions include the $125-million sale of the 253-unit Cortland Biltmore, the $97.35-million sale of the 270-unit Biltmore at Camelback, the $107.5-million sale of Soltra Kierland in Scottsdale and the $90.5-million sale of the 296-unit Ocotillo Bay in Chandler.

Groen participates in internal CBRE committees and employee business resource groups, collaborating across functions and contributing to initiatives that strengthen team culture and knowledge-sharing within the office and across the entire platform. He mentors interns and junior professionals, dedicating time to financial training, market education and professional development. Groen is a member of NAIOP Phoenix.

CBRE Phoenix has honored him as a Rookie of the Year. Other recognitions include Top Broker Team Awards Winner (Connect CRE), Multifamily Broker Team of the Year (NAIOP) and Power Broker Award (CoStar).
