SKG Capital’s Garg Oversees $200M Multifamily Portfolio
Smita Garg is the Principal of Investments & Asset Management at SKG Capital, where she helps shape investment strategy and oversees the firm’s $200 million multifamily and mixed-use real estate portfolio’s performance. Her responsibilities include acquisitions, underwriting, asset management, capital strategy and portfolio operations.
While in her former position with Rose Associates, Garg handled the $400-million CMBS refinance for 70 Pine Street.
Garg is a ULI New York Mixed‑Use Council Green member, has served as a Project Destined mentor and currently mentors students pursuing real estate careers through the University of Michigan’s Weiser Center. She has served on the executive board of J.P. Morgan’s AsPIRE network and founded and chaired the Network for Asian Pacific Americans at Rose Associates. Garg is on the NYU Schack Alumni Board.
She has been honored as a NYREJ Ones to Watch and a recipient of the Alice Connell Award through ULI’s Women’s Leadership Initiative.
These are just a few reasons we chose Smita Garg as one of Connect CRE’s New York & Tri-State Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
