Brodsky Leads ARA’s Portfolio Strategy and Capital Deployment
As Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management, Josh Brodsky oversees ARA’s $3-billion open-ended value-add fund. He helps raise money for the fund, sets the strategy and makes presentations to clients. He also works with the acquisition department to identify and close on investments, ensure business plan execution and determine exit strategies.
Since taking on the fund manager role, he has overseen over $1 billion in refinancings and $500 million in dispositions. At this time, Brodsky is also leading the launch of ARA’s first closed-end fund in 15 years.
Brodsky mentors almost all of the younger asset management analysts and associates, training most of them. He is a fixture at Los Angeles real estate events and is a regular USC guest lecturer for undergrad and graduate students taking real estate courses. In the community, he serves on the board of the Chase Foundation, which provides pediatric cancer support to major Los Angeles-area hospitals.
These are just a few reasons we chose Josh Brodsky as one of Connect CRE’s California Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
