Avakian Grows Independent Brokerage Into High-Performing Platform
Taylor Avakian is the Principal Broker and Founder of The Group CRE, a boutique multifamily Los Angeles brokerage. He leads a four-person team (operations, transaction coordination, and two agents on the phones daily), operating The Group CRE as an independent brand under Lyon Stahl Investment Real Estate.
Since launching the firm in 2023, Avakian’s team has closed $488 million in transactions and garnered a 92% client retention rate.
In addition to overseeing his brokerage, Avakian hosts the No Vacancy Podcast (for multifamily owners and investors) and co-founded the AI for CRE Collective, a national community of commercial real estate professionals adopting AI in their businesses.
Taylor is a regular speaker on commercial real estate and artificial intelligence topics at the University of California, Pepperdine University, the University of Alabama, and Santa Monica City College.
He has been named a Los Angeles Times’ Commercial Real Estate Visionary and GlobeSt’s Influencer in Multifamily Real Estate. He has been featured as a source in Bisnow, the Los Angeles Business Journal, and the L.A. Times.
These are just a few reasons we chose Taylor Avakian as one of Connect CRE’s California Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
