Amy Simpson
Helped expand Seyfarth’s Texas footprint since 2023 Dallas office launch
Has acted as a special servicer’s counsel
Amy Simpson, Seyfarth’s Managing Partner of the firm’s Dallas office, focuses on loan origination and servicing, where she represents institutional lenders, commercial mortgage loan servicers, special servicers and co-lenders.
She advises on secured loan originations, including those intended for sale in the secondary securitization market, and handles complex servicing matters such as loan modifications, assumptions and foreclosures.
Since the Dallas office launched in 2023, Simpson has helped build its presence and strengthen the firm’s Texas footprint. She sits on the Seyfarth firmwide Real Estate leadership team.
Her notable matters have included acting as a special servicer’s counsel, while also leading teams in securitized transactions and involvement with loan originations.
Simpson serves as a mentor to junior attorneys and contributes to industry thought leadership through regular publications and client education, particularly in CMBS servicing and asset management. Simpson also assists with Seyfarth’s quarterly publication, Real Estate Market Pulse.
These are some of the reasons why Amy Simpson received Connect CRE’s 2025 Texas Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
