Helped launch 113 investment programs that raised $2 billion

Participated in UPREIT exchanges totaling more than $137 million

Jeffrey Gregor currently serves as chief legal officer of Capital Square, a sponsor of tax-advantaged real estate investments and a developer of multifamily communities. He is also Capital Square Apartment REIT, Inc.’s general counsel and secretary.

During his 12 years with the firm, Gregor helped launch 113 investment programs that have raised more than $2 billion. These include Delaware statutory trusts, qualified opportunity zone funds and a real estate investment trust, which collectively comprise more than 145 real estate assets. He also participated in a series of three Section 721 UPREIT exchanges of multifamily DST properties into the Capital Square Housing Trust, representing more than $137 million.

Along with colleagues, Gregor has participated in multiple charitable projects, including the March of Dimes, Ducks Unlimited, Children’s Hospital of Richmond, Little Hands Virginia, the  World Pediatric Project, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Family Lifeline.

This is why Jeffrey Gregor received Connect CRE’s 2024 Washington DC & Mid-Atlantic Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
