Negotated a 600,000-square-foot BTS industrial lease
As a partner with Eversheds Sutherland, Ruth Schoenmeyer advises clients on various transactions, including leasing, redevelopment, disposition and acquisition matters. Her clients include retailers, developers, quick-service restaurant chains and logistics companies. She has extensive experience in representing landlords and tenants.
Transactional matters have included negotiation of two significant industrial build-to-suit transactions for an automotive manufacturer client and completion of five sale-leaseback transactions involving a couple dozen properties located throughout the U.S. for an industrial client. She also negotiated a 600,000-square-foot build-to-suit industrial lease for a real estate management investment firm. She negotiated multiple retail leases for an e-commerce company and its brick-and-mortar locations.
Schoenmeyer is active with the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). She was the Meeting Leader for the ACREL Annual Meeting in Chicago last October and is the Chair of the Materials Committee of the Planning Committee for the ICSC Law Conference. She previously served on the Real Estate Advisory Panel for the American Law Institute Continuing Legal Education (ALI CLE) and on the Advisory Board of the Advanced Commercial Leasing Institute at the Georgetown University Law Center.
She has been recognized by Chambers U.S.A. and The Legal 500 and has a preeminent ranking from Martindale-Hubbell AV. She also received an award from Probate & Property magazine.
