Ongoing invovement with the 1.7 million-square-foot redevelopment of the Boston Edison Plant

The managing partner of DLA Piper’s Boston office, Bryan Connolly concentrates on real estate development, acquisitions and dispositions, finance, joint ventures, land use and zoning. He has represented owners and developers throughout the development life cycle, from due diligence, acquisition and permitting through joint venture financing and construction loan financing to disposition and recapitalization events.

Connolly’s significant projects include advising on the South Station Air Rights Project, the 678-foot mixed-use tower and bus terminal expansion developed in the air rights over Boston’s South Station (a Hines project). He’s also involved with the ongoing 1.7-million-square-foot redevelopment of the former Boston Edison plant, the 733-unit mixed-use Echelon Seaport, and the 352-unit mixed-use Marina Bay on Boston Harbor.

He serves on the boards of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and The Spirit of Adventure Council of the Boy Scouts of America, is on the Milton Zoning Board of Appeals and is past chair of NAIOP Massachusetts’ Government Affairs Committee. He is also a former Quincy City Councilman.

Chambers USA recognized him (Band 4, Massachusetts Real Estate and Recognized Practitioner) as has The Legal 500 United States (Next Generation Partner). Connolly received his law degree from Boston College School of Law, where he was senior editor of the Boston College Law Review.

These are some of the reasons why we are honoring Bryon Connolly with Connect CRE’s 2023 Boston & New England Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award celebrates real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.
