Daniel Miktus

As a true up-and-comer in the construction sector of the real estate industry, Daniel Miktus has been integral to numerous projects in and around the D.C. metropolitan area, and other large-scale projects within the United States. He has been recognized as “One to Watch” for Construction Law in Washington, D.C. by The Best Lawyers of America the past two years, recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine in Washington, D.C. as a “Rising Star” in Construction Litigation for the past three years, and was recommend for Real Estate and Construction by The Legal 500 USA in 2022.

Colleagues say one of Miktus’ outstanding qualities is his uncommon ability, at such a young age, to take leadership and control in drafting and negotiating construction and design contracts on behalf of developers and contractors, while understanding the distinct business aspects and risks of the deal or project. He also displays a remarkable ability to engage in complex, commercial construction litigation against skilled, seasoned litigators.

Miktus has developed a reputation as a thought leader in publishing several articles within the past year in Law360, a subscription-based legal news service. He’s written on such hot topics as designer errors/omissions suits, construction contracts, performance bonds, and office build-outs. He also regularly publishes in other industry publications. He has been establishing his name and brand as a construction and real estate industry “go-to.”

Miktus is also an active member in ULI (Urban Land Institute) Washington, a large network of cross-disciplinary real estate and land use professionals, and serves as Co-Chair on the ULI Young Leaders Group’s Education Committee for the 2023-2025 term.
