Oversight of debt placements and LIHTC dollars to preserve and develop affordable housing units

Specializes in bond transactions and bridge to re-syndication, among others

As a Senior Vice President on M&T Realty Capital Corporation’s Affordable Housing Finance team, Patrick Terry focuses on on lining up debt placements and pairing LIHTC equity dollars for preservation and new construction of Capital A affordable housing units nationwide. Terry and his team have recently prioritized AHP Grant Loans sponsorships to drive permanent debt placements and equity investments on 9% LIHTC transactions across the NYC Metro area.

Terry specializes in tax-exempt bond transactions, preservation transactions, cash-collateralized bond transactions and bridge to re-syndication. As such, he has added value to M&T Realty Capital with sound analysis, commitment to affordable housing finance and being an awesome teammate.

Terry recognized early in his career that the multifamily finance sector was gravitating towards Capital A affordable housing and workforce housing. As such, he has focused on and developed in these fields during the past five years.

Terry steps in to train new team members, dedicating the necessary time and feedback for success. He isn’t afraid to ask questions or push back in a professional manner when working on deals to ensure the best execution possible.

These are just a few reasons we chose Patrick Terry as one of Connect CRE New York & Tri-State’s 2023 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s seventh annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
