Key player in acquisition and disposition of $2B in single-tenant properties

Heavily involved in Marquette University’s Center for Real Estate
John Feeney is an SVP with The Boulder Group, a boutique investment real estate service firm specializing in single tenant net lease properties. Throughout his time with the company, John has been involved in the acquisition and disposition of approximately $2 billion worth of single-tenant properties. In addition to Feeney’s role in the advisory side of The Boulder Group business, he oversees the company’s net lease research division.
In short order, Feeney has been able to develop very strong client relationships ranging from high net worth individuals to publicly traded REITs and Fortune 500 companies. The personal attention paid in each transaction has resulted in ongoing relationships with many clients.
In an industry where many brokers advise clients based on gut reactions, Feeney has taken an approach to make decisions based on empirical facts utilizing the research The Boulder Group provides, even when the advice provided results in a client not pursing a particular property.
These are just a few reasons we chose Feeney as one of the National 2021 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s fifth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
Outside of the office, Feeney is heavily involved in Marquette University’s Center for Real Estate. He serves on the Center’s advisory board and is a co-chair for the board’s structure committee. Additionally, he sits on the executive board for REALM, the real estate alumni association for Marquette University.
