Colleen Werner
Named a 2020 Digital Innovator transforming work by Employee Benefit News
Company grew 400% between 2019 and 2020
In 2020, spearheaded a diversity, equity and inclusion strategy among lulalfit's workforce
While the past year brought so much change and uncertainty to many, Colleen Werner, founder and CEO of lulafit, a wellness platform utilized by notable commercial developments throughout the country, stayed strong in her mission to continue to make well-being amenities accessible to everyone. With a goal to modernize well-being and to empower people to live better lives through holistic opportunities, Werner found that people living through the pandemic were in need of the company’s services now more than ever.
She knew that she had to pivot her business model somehow to continue to meet the needs of her clients. While stay-at-home orders went into effect, Werner and her team started producing digital content so tenants and residents throughout the country could still enjoy lulafit from their homes, both live and on-demand.
In June 2020, lulafit’s digital product “lulafit LIVE” was launched to help keep people engaged, productive and healthy. Some of the first clients of lulafit LIVE included Chicago’s Aon Center, One Bennett Park, Old Post Office and Essex on the Park. Additionally, 4 World Trade Center, 7 World Trade Center, 120 Broadway and River Place in New York City, as well as 1735 Market St. in Philadelphia all have access to lulafit’s virtual programming via Silverstein Properties’ amenity experience app, INSPIRE Your Day. Werner was named a 2020 Digital Innovator transforming work by Employee Benefit News.
These are just a few reasons we chose Werner as one of the National 2021 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s fifth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
