Fried Frank’s Roper Focuses on Large-Scale Commercial Mortgage Transactions
Charles Roper Jr. is an Associate at Fried Frank, where he is part of the team that advises financial institutions, private equity firms, and institutional investors on the origination, acquisition, syndication, participation, and disposition of all types of commercial mortgage and mezzanine loans and preferred equity investments
Roper was recently part of the team that advised SL Green on the $1.65-billion refinancing of One Madison Avenue. He also worked with SL Green and its joint venture partner, PGIM Real Estate, to complete a $1.4-billion, five-year, fixed-rate refinancing of 11 Madison Avenue, a 2.3-million-square-foot office tower in Midtown South.
Roper is a member of Fried Frank’s Associates Committee and Associates Technology Committee, where he helps with the firm’s approach to emerging technologies.
Outside of his corporate work, Roper provides pro bono assistance to women seeking Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) protections, as well as immigrants who need help with their legal status and green cards. He is also working with a local synagogue on leasing a Brooklyn building that will house Urban Dove Charter School, which will support at-risk, under-credited students.
These are just a few reasons we chose Charles Roper Jr. as one of Connect CRE’s New York & Tri-State Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
