AmTrust’s Dallas-Wu Screens Billions in Acquisition Opportunities
As an Analyst on AmTrust’s Acquisitions and Asset Management team, Colin Dallas-Wu screens and supports end-to-end acquisition execution, including sourcing, financial modeling in Argus and Excel, market and competitive analysis, IC memo preparation, competitive bid submissions, coordination of third-party diligence, and more.
On the asset management side, he supports newly acquired assets through transition into active ownership, overseeing quarterly reporting, budget-to-actual variance analysis and leasing support.
Since joining AmTrust in 2024, Dallas-Wu has underwritten and actively screened more than 95 acquisition opportunities representing roughly $10 billion in aggregate transaction value and 25 million square feet across New York and San Francisco, spanning core and value-add office, multifamily, mixed-use, retail and office-to-residential conversion strategies.
Dallas-Wu helped build the firm’s proprietary analytical toolkit, including rent and sales-comparable databases, pipeline-tracking systems, Office REIT benchmarking frameworks, tenant credit analysis tools and conversion feasibility models.
In the community, he works with his alma mater, New York University’s Shack Institute of Real Estate, helping students interested in real estate. He supports the Asian American real estate community through AREAA and is active with the ULI’s Young Leaders Group, CREFC, YREPNY GREG and the Build Out Alliance.
Dallas-Wu was named a Trepp Future CRE Leader.
These are just a few reasons we chose Colin Dallas-Wu as one of Connect CRE’s New York & Tri-State Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
