Choi with Community Preservation Partners Oversees a Growing Affordable Housing Pipeline
Philip Choi is a Development Manager at Community Preservation Partners, where he helps lead affordable housing preservation developments from underwriting and closing through construction completion. He identifies and manages project risks and relies on communication, collaboration and disciplined project management to deliver high-quality results.
Choi’s projects include seven properties totaling 674 units throughout Southern California and the Southwest. He is also overseeing five properties in the pipeline totaling 300 units, with an estimated development cost of $121 million.
Choi has also worked on USDA Rural Development and tax credit transactions, including San Joaquin 3, a 100-unit project across three communities in San Joaquin, CA, and Lake Isabella Apartments, an 86-unit property in Lake Isabella, CA.
In addition to his development responsibilities, he mentors and supports junior staff, helping them contribute to team development and performance. A veteran, Choi provides guidance and support to those serving in the military who transition into commercial real estate careers.
These are just a few reasons we chose Philip Choi as one of Connect CRE’s California Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
