Thomas Hauser is Co-Leader of the firm’s Real Estate Finance Group, Co-Leader of the Housing Finance Group, managing partner of the Baltimore Office, and member of the firm’s Elected Board and Senior Leadership Team. He advises clients through all transaction phases—from the due diligence and term sheet stage to financing and closing—and supports them with business counseling on fund formation and corporate governance.

He regularly handles large, complex transactions throughout the country that involve multiple layers of financing and equity interests. He has played a leading role in purchasing, selling, and financing office and multifamily complexes, senior living facilities, student housing, biotech campuses and retail buildings.

Notable activities include representing an investor group in the $315-million sale of a medical office building and 11 seniors housing facilities in six states. He also represented a borrower in negotiating and closing a $5.7-billion credit facility.

Hauser is a published author and speaker. He is a member of the American Bar Association and Maryland Bar Association. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America, The Legal 500 USA, Lawdragon and Chambers USA. Hauser is a fellow with the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the American College of Mortgage Attorneys.
