Christine (Chris) Espenshade serves as Vice Chairman of the Multifamily Capital Markets group at Newmark. Based in the firm’s Washington, DC, office, she is a 30-year multifamily real estate veteran who has managed the sale or recapitalization of more than $13 billion in multifamily investments.

In 2024, she closed six transactions totaling $589.8 million in sales volume. Notable sales included the 806-unit Dulles Green (Herndon, VA) for $250 million, the 345-unit Fort Totten Square (Washington, DC) for $87.5 million, the 303-unit 77 H Street Northwest (Washington, DC) for $89 million and the 275-unit Alta Federal Hill (Baltimore) for $68.5 million.
