Mona Carlton

Mona Carlton was a founding partner of HFF LP, which was acquired by JLL in 2019. Currently, she serves as Senior Managing Director in the Dallas office of JLL Capital Markets Americas. She specializes in capitalizing investment real estate through debt, equity and structured finance transactions, primarily focusing on multi-housing.

Carlton has been involved in more than $32 billion in debt placement, equity placement and investment sales transactions throughout her career. Notable deals include arranging floating rate financing totaling $782 million for a multifamily portfolio and a $240-million floating rate loan for an apartment portfolio in the Pacific Northwest.

She is an NMHC Executive Board Member and serves on the ULI’s Bronze Multi-Housing Council. During her career, she also served on the Gold, Silver and Blue ULI Multi-Housing Councils, was Chair of the Freddie Mac Advisory Council and chaired the NMHC Finance Committee. She participated in various Life Insurance Companies Advisory Councils and the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).

Carlton has served on the National Board of Representatives for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and held the role of past president for the North Texas Chapter. Additionally, she has contributed to fundraising efforts by participating in the San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon, raising $30,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and coordinating the “Light the Night” event for the JLL Dallas office for many years. Her efforts earned her the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society – Heart of Gold Award by the North Texas Chapter.
