Oversees offices in Park City and Salt Lake City

With team, closed over 30 transactions totaling over $1 billion

Marla Bell is a shareholder in Polsinelli’s Real Estate Finance Practice and focuses on complex finance transactions involving commercial real estate nationwide. She has extensive experience with all structures (up and down the capital stack) and asset types. She has experience with syndicated transactions, component notes, mezzanine financing and preferred equity.

Bell also serves as the Managing Partner for both of Polsinelli’s Utah offices in Park City and Salt Lake City. She is the only managing partner overseeing two offices and all attorneys, staff and community engagement for both offices. She and her team have closed over 30 transactions within the last twelve months, totaling over $1 billion in aggregate loan value. Despite the downturn in loan originations, she and her team still closed on 12 originations of more than $300 million just in the past four months.

During her two decades as a shareholder at Polsinelli, Bell has mentored many up-and-coming shareholders. She continues to dedicate weekly time to host calls with young attorneys to check in on their development, training and mentorship.

She is an active Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC) member and a staple at the annual conferences in Miami and New York. She is also very engaged in the local Park City community and is the head of the inaugural planning committee for the 2025 Women in Real Estate Ski Summit.

Bell was recently selected for inclusion in Utah Business Magazine’s Legal Elite. She has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate Law since 2021.

These are just a few reasons Marla Bell is among the Phoenix & Southwest Connect CRE 2024 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
