Ashley Compton is Colliers Nashville’s principal and vice chairman, Capital Markets and a member of the firm’s national self-storage practice group. Throughout his 18-year career, he has sold or listed more than 20.1 million square feet of self-storage, with transactions valued at more than $2.19 billion.

Notable deals in 2023 include the sale of a new 670-unit, 75,225-square-foot Box Self-Storage facility in Panama City Beach, FL, on behalf of seller Hickory Capital Group. Compton also represented a StorageMaster Self-Storage owner in selling a two-property portfolio totaling 156,226 square feet and 1,146 units.

Continued demand for multi-family development spurs the growth of self-storage facilities, maintaining investor interest in the sector. Compton’s specialization in a recession-resistant asset class facilitated the expansion of his brand, even amid unprecedented circumstances like the COVID-19 pandemic. While other sectors experienced slowdowns, Compton continued closing deals, solidifying his status as one of the most esteemed self-storage advisors in the region, crossing state and international borders without missing a beat.

These are some of the reasons we selected Ashley Compton as one of the Atlanta & Southeast winners in Connect CREs 2024 Top Broker Awards. These awards recognize industry professionals who have demonstrated the highest standards and transaction volumes in investment sales and leasing.
