Robert Morgan
Helping build out JPMorgan Chase’s new business line, WHS
With team, provided Thrive Living with a $68.5-million construction loan
Robert Morgan is vice president of JPMorgan Chase’s Workforce Housing Solutions (WHS) team. In his role, Morgan works with partners offering a range of non-LIHTC capital sources, including equity investors, impact funds and institutions, with a commitment to community development. JPMorgan Chase launched WHS in late 2021, and Morgan is helping build this new business line.
WHS’ first deal provided Thrive Living with a $68.5-million non-LIHTC construction loan supporting the development of the 376-unit, rent-restricted 1457 Main Street in Los Angeles.
Morgan is a mentor for three young professionals from his alma mater who are interested in the CRE industry.
He sits on the boards of two nonprofits. One, launched by his mother, is the Motherless Village of Hope, focusing on assisting young girls with deceased or incarcerated mothers. CAM’s Vision was launched in honor of Morgan’s visually impaired brother, and it hosts fund-raising events to support research for the visually impaired and those with eye diseases.
These are just a few reasons we selected Robert Morgan as one of Connect CRE’s Washington DC 2024 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s seventh annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will strongly influence the commercial real estate industry.
