Involved in 12 deals totaling $475 million of debt/equity financing since joining Berkadia in 2023

In previous role at Northmarq, helped close over $3 billion in transactions

Hunter Wood serves as a senior director for Berkadia’s Mortgage Banking platform. He arranges debt and equity for multifamily and commercial real estate investors in this role. He services clients nationally but primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Before joining Berkadia, Hunter was at Northmarq, where he played a vital role in the origination, underwriting, and closing more than $3 billion in transactions for multifamily, office, retail, industrial and self-storage properties.

In October 2023, Wood joined a capital markets team selected as one of Connect CRE’s Top Mortgage Brokers & Lenders in the Washington DC region. Since joining Berkadia, Wood has been involved in 12 deals totaling approximately $475 million of debt/equity financing on assets valued at more than $1 billion. Closed deals have included agency, preferred equity, JV equity, bank and debt fund assignments.

Outside of the office, Wood serves on the Industry Advisory Board for the Virginia Tech Blackwood Department in Real Estate. He also serves on the Leadership Advisory Board for the First Tee of Richmond, where he has helped raise over $25,000 for the chapter.

These are just a few reasons we selected Hunter Wood as one of Connect CRE’s Washington DC 2024 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s seventh annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will strongly influence the commercial real estate industry.
