Bobby Magee
Launched MSLA while still in college
Recently raised and closed a $20-million hotel equity fund
Bobby Magee is president of MLSA Ventures, which he launched while still in college at Trinity University. The company recently raised a $20-million hotel equity fund and expanded into retail, industrial hospitality and experiential deals. The firm also has portfolio companies, like an in-house construction company, that vertically integrate MLSA’s investment platform.
As company president, Magee is responsible for investment strategy, execution and organizational development. Within the past 18 months, he has acquired two industrial properties, two movie theaters and the La Villita Assembly Hall in San Antonio.
Magee is engaged in the capital campaign and planning for Hope Lodge San Antonio. This facility will provide free lodging for South Texas residents visiting San Antonio to battle cancer. He also speaks to and mentors Trinity University students.
These are just a few reasons we selected Bobby Magee as one of Connect CRE’s Texas 2024 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s seventh annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will strongly influence the commercial real estate industry.
