Rita Mouchi is Gensler’s Architectural Design Lead. Her background spans multiple projects, including offices, sports arenas and government facilities. She oversees the lifecycle of commercial projects from initial visioning sessions and conceptual ideations, through technical documentation and delivery. Her career has spanned the globe, from the U.S. to New Zealand to Dubai. As a Middle Eastern woman who grew up in New Zealand and recently re-established her career in the US, she faced a fair share of adversity. She had to learn to manage dualities.
Mouchi recently completed the project’s first phase for the Phoenix Suns and Mercury’s new headquarters. She continues to work on the remaining phases of the training facilities.
Mouchi is actively involved with Gensler ventures outside her day-to-day project work. She recently led an innovation team through an entrepreneurial competition, serving as a sustainability champion for our local office with oversight on an initiative to document materials used on projects and their alignment to Gensler’s sustainability commitments. She has also provided design critiques to university students.
In the community, she leveraged her skill set to help build homeless shelters in Guatemala. Mouchi also volunteered with homeless shelters and actively participated in community impact activities with Gensler Phoenix.
These are just a few reasons we selected Rita Mouchi as one of Connect CRE’s Phoenix & Southwest 2024 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s seventh annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will strongly influence the commercial real estate industry.
