Worked with team to sell the Evergreen Health Seattle Portfolio

Helped close value-add deals for an institutional healthcare REIT

Chris Lashmet is a managing director of investment sales specializing in medical and life sciences. He builds relationships and advises on maximizing property values by developing and implementing specific strategies.

In 2023, a challenging year to close core deals, Berkadia Medical & Life Sciences successfully sold the Evergreen Health Seattle Portfolio to a large institutional private equity real estate investor. Lashmet and his team closed nine separate value-add deals above pricing expectations for an institutional healthcare REIT.

Lashmet’s previous positions include co-leading Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate Advisors’ medical office group and roles with Ventas Inc. and MedProperties Group.

With a background as a professional baseball player (he played for the Pittsburgh Pirates minor league organizations before starting his career as a medical office developer), Lashmet is a team player. Mentoring young professionals is inherent in his character. He loves to provide feedback and suggests how to be the most successful healthcare real estate professional. He is a regular speaker on healthcare conference panels.

These are just a few reasons we selected Chris Lashmet as one of Connect CRE’s Chicago & Midwest 2024 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s seventh annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will strongly influence the commercial real estate industry.
