Represented lender in $90-million condo construction loan in Phoenix

Serves as Dykema’s Professional Personnel Member

As member/partner with Dykema Gossett, C. Elizabeth Darke represents institutional lenders in complex lending transactions, landlords and tenants in commercial leasing matters, and advises clients regarding acquiring and disposing of real estate. She also serves as Dykema’s Professional Personnel Member, overseeing the firm’s non-member attorneys’ compensation, bonuses and elevation to partnerships. She has represented many of the same clients for over 20 years.

She is also former leader of the firm’s real estate practice group and the former hiring partner of the firm’s Chicago office, in which she oversaw associate recruiting and the summer associate program.

Highlights include representation of a lender on a $90-million condominium construction loan in Phoenix and a bank involving a $44-million loan to develop an industrial facility near Seattle.

Darke conducts associate and senior attorney retreats, where she trains new associates and mentors mid-level attorneys. She held leadership positions for Chicago Sinai Congregation, serving on its executive board and board of trustees.

These are just a few reasons we chose Liz Darke as one of the Chicago-Midwest Connect CRE’s 2023 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and play key mentorship roles for others.
